Our Admissions Policy

Beginning in the 2008-2009 academic year, Woodside has adopted a year-round applications and admissions policy to meet the needs of students and their parents who are ready for an immediate educational improvement.

"Parents have asked us to be flexible and not bound by strict deadlines. We have admitted some students mid-school year and it usually has worked well for students and the school.  Now we're making year-round admissions our policy." -John Edwards, Headmaster

The reason for this policy is as follows:

  • Families move to San Francisco during the school year and want their children to begin attending a high-quality school.
  • Parents discover mid-semester that they are not satisfied with a school.
  • A student is having problems at a large school with big classes.  Parents want to minimize the damage to their child.

Affordable Payment Plans

Some parents assume they can't afford private school.  Woodside offers flexible payment plans to help parents afford private school

"Woodside is not a prep school for rich kids," said Edwards.  "We work with parents to find a payment plan that they can afford.  We want our student body to include students from middle-class and working class families, so we make arrangements to accommodate them."

Woodside has several plans and options, including one which allows parents to spread out payments beyond the graduation year of their son or daughter.
