Happy New Year and Welcome Back
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in the new semester!Fall Semester Reports
The fall semester reports were mailed on Thursday, January 11th. If you did not receive your child’s report, please contact Lina (lina@wissf.org) for an additional copy.

Faculty Meeting Tuesday, January 23rd
We will be holding our monthly faculty meeting on Tuesday, December 5th8:30am classes will be canceled, and all other classes will be held as usual. Students should arrive in time for their 9:30am classes.

Progress Reports

The first progress reports of the spring semester will be sent home with students on Wednesday, January 31st. If you do not have the opportunity to see your child’s report, please email Lina (lina@wissf.org) for an additional copy.

All-School Field Trip February 1st
All students and full-time teachers will be going to the Exploratorium to experience science, art, and activities on human perception. Permission slips will be given to students in their Health classes. Student tickets cost $7.50. All classes will be canceled for the day, and students should arrive to school by 9:00am. The day will end early, around 1:30pm.

Culture Night Potluck February 2nd
Please join us on Friday, February 2nd from 6-8pm for our annual Culture Night Potluck! This is a celebration of the beautiful diversity of our community. Bring a dish from your culture to share!

4-Day Weekend February 16-19
School will be closed on Friday, February 16th in observance of the Lunar New Year and on Monday, February 19th for President’s Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In honor of the holiday, the students in Advanced Art A and B created a large scale portrait. We built on our drawing skills using charcoal pencils and experimented with techniques to focus on texture and tone. Each student was responsible for one or two of the individual squares to compose this collaborative piece.

It’s Almost Time To Enroll For Next Year!

The Admissions Office is preparing Enrollment packets for the 2018-2019 School Year for all of our current Grade 9, 10, and 11 students. We will mail them home in the next few weeks, and ask that you return your completed Enrollment documents by March 1Financial Aid applications for 2018-2019 are due February 1.
