The Advanced Placement Program (AP) offers university-level courses and exams for high school students.

• Woodside offer a weighted GPA for AP course. A 3-Point AP course is weighted the same as an A (equal to 4-point) in a regular high-school course.
• Some AP courses allow students to begin with higher level courses at university.
• In addition to almost all universities in the U.S. and Canada, over 4,000 universities in more than 60 countries use AP Exam scores for admissions, course credits, and/or advanced placement.

AP Capstone Program

The AP Capstone Program is the highest-level AP program from the College Board. We currently offer AP Seminar classes with the intention of offering AP Research in the following year. Woodside is one of the only two high schools in San Francisco offering these two classes.
