Message from the Head of School
As we embark on the last month of the school year, I commend our entire community for your dedication and resilience. Teachers have learned how to conduct distance learning, students have adjusted to the new virtual classroom, and families have continued to support their students and our school.

Shelter-in-Place Extended Through the End of the School Year
San Francisco Unified School District has announced that they are extending temporary school closures through the end of the school year. We will continue to follow their guidance, and have regretfully decided that we will not be able to return to our classrooms until the fall semester. This is a disappointment for us all, while also being the best way to keep us all safe and healthy. Please continue to shelter in place to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
School Calendar Posted for 2020-2021
The first day of classes for Fall 2020 will be on Tuesday, August 18th. See the Full WIS Calendar online for the schedule of school days, holidays, school breaks, and more.
Progress Notes Sent Home
During this period of Distance Learning, Joanne Walsh is sharing Individual Progress Notes with students and parents/guardians every week. Please review these reminders of any late work, and talk with your teacher about how to catch up.
Faculty Meetings Weekly
During the school closure, faculty are meeting weekly for a video conference to discuss student progress and share teaching strategies.
National Practice Tests for SAT and PSAT
To continue preparing for college admissions exams, Andrea Feeney will mail a paper copy of a take-at-home test to each student in grades 9, 10, and 11. Parents/guardians will be asked to assist by timing the students on each section of the test. To give ample time for students to complete this work, the mailing will be sent at the end of April, with completed tests to be mailed back to school in early May.
