Message from the Head of School

Every February I think to myself how swiftly the school year speeds by. This is a reminder to students, parents and guardians to reach out to a teacher if you have questions. We do our best to support you, and appreciate your reaching out if you would like help.

Plan Ahead for College Fairs – April 25th-May 2nd
All Juniors are encouraged to attend a College Fair this spring. Sophomores and Seniors not going directly to college next year may also find them informative. These fairs are sponsored by NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) and WACAC (Western Association for College Admission Counseling).
  • National College Fair on Saturday April 25th at 1:30-4:30pm at Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara. Register free at gotomyncf.com. This one is huge, a little overwhelming, and features the most colleges from around the nation and the world. See the link for which colleges will attend.
  • The next four college fairs are smaller than the National but still host a significant number of universities  and may feel more manageable to attend. Go to the one most convenient for your family. Register free at www.strivefair.com.
  • North Bay College Fair on Tuesday April 28th at 6-8pm at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park
  • Marin College Fair on Wednesday April 29th at 6-8pm at Dominican University in San Rafael
  • South Bay College Fair on Thursday April 30th at 6-8pm at West Valley College in Saratoga (Santa Clara County)
  • East Bay College Fair on Saturday May 2nd at 1-3pm at St Mary's College in Moraga (Contra Costa County)
Teacher Lunch Program
Thank you to the parents who have supported our Teacher Lunch Program! We are looking for volunteers to provide lunch for teachers on Thursdays throughout the semester. We ask that families bring food or money to feed 7 people, half of whom are vegetarian. Please contact Joanne Walsh at jwalsh@wissf.org if you are interested in participating. We love our teachers, and they appreciate your support!
