Program Cancellations and Alternative Arrangements
- National Testing Day: Due to national school closures, we will not be able to offer standardized testing at school this spring. To continue student practice on standardized tests, Andrea Feeney will mail a paper copy of a take-at-home test to each student in grades 9, 10, and 11. Parents/guardians will be asked to assist by timing the students on each section of the test. This will be in late April.
- College Fairs: The National and Western Associations for College Admission Counseling will not hold College Fairs this spring. Andrea will advise students on exploring college options.
- Community Service Field Trips: We are unable to hold our Food Bank and Earth Day field trips this year. During the week of April 13th, Andrea will send students a simple assignment on the theme of feeding the world. During the week of April 20th, Andrea will send students a simple assignment in celebration of Earth Day.
- Community Service Hours: Due to the national school closure, we are adjusting our community service hour expectations for students. We will not require any additional outside community service hours for the rest of the year. We will continue to require that students complete their school cleaning assignment on days when we are on campus. This is part of respecting our school community, and we appreciate your cooperation. When the shelter-in-place and social distancing orders end, all are encouraged to assist the community to recover from the effects of the shutdown.
